McAlester Regional Health Center is a 149 bed public trust health care facility. MRHC has received recognition for meeting and exceeding strict standards of care and administration of services as determined and evaluated by DNV Healthcare Inc., the American College of Radiology, the College of American Pathologists, and the Commission on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities.

MRHC, located in the center of southeastern Oklahoma, serves Pittsburg County and surrounding areas reaching into the counties of Atoka, Coal, Haskell, Hughes, Latimer, McIntosh, and Pushmataha.

MRHC’s active medical staff includes 21 medical specialties including: Allergy, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dermatology, Emergency Care, Family Medicine, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Gynecology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Obstetrics, Orthopedics, Pathology, Pediatrics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Radiology, and Urology. The health center is devoted to a continuum of care offering a variety of health care services to the citizens of Southeast Oklahoma. Educational programs and support groups provide residents an open forum for healthcare information.
