Calling Your Nurse

A button to call your nurse is located at your bedside. When you press the button, the nurses’ station is alerted that you need assistance. A staff member will respond to your signal as soon as possible.

Telephones
Telephones are provided in each room, except in the Intensive Care Unit. Patients may receive calls in their rooms from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Local calls may be made at any time from the room by dialing 9 and the number.

Long-distance and toll calls can be made at any time by dialing 9-0 and the number. Long-distance calls cannot be charged to your room. You can make a credit card call or charge a long-distance call back to your home number. You may call the hospital operator by dialing 0 at any time for assistance.

The MRHC Boulevard Grille & Cafeteria
The Boulevard Grille & Cafeteria is open daily from 6:30 a.m. – 10 a.m., 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.

Vending Machines
Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located on all floors in waiting areas. They are available 24 hours a day.

Smoking Policy
MRHC is a nonsmoking facility. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on campus.

Meditation Chapel
A meditation chapel is located on the third floor. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the chapel for prayer and quiet reflection. The Pastoral Care/Chaplain number is 918-421-7131.

Gift Shop
The Gift Shop, staffed by volunteers, is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m. weekdays. The shop has gift items, jewelry, greeting cards, candy, toiletries, flowers and plants. The Gift Shop phone number is ext. 8042.

Waiting Areas
There are specially designated lounge areas for visitors on each patient floor and on the main floor in the lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the Critical Care Units, the Emergency Department, Surgery and OB.

Rotary House 

“A Place of Caring”
 
The Rotary House of McAlester is committed to the establishment of a home away from home for patients and for families whose family members are being treated at McAlester Regional Health Center for serious medical illnesses or injuries.
 
The Rotary House has six rooms available in addition to shared bath, kitchen, laundry and living rooms. Fully furnished, the house was designed to maintain both a functional and comfortable atmosphere.
 
Applications for approved stays at The Rotary House are available through the Social Services department at 918-421-8182 or your charge nurse.
