Tree of Life

The Tree of Life is a gift that can be given in memory of a loved one, in honor of a special occasion or achievement, or to recognize a special nurse, physician or hospital staff member.

The Tree of Life is an original sculpture designed and hand-carved in solid hardwood by New Jersey artist Sanford Werfel. The tree is composed of 200 brass leaves and 100 copper leaves with 12 major contributor stones around the base of the structure. The sculpture is displayed beside the main elevators in the front lobby of the McAlester Regional.

Tree of Life gifts of any amount may be given in memory of a loved one. All gifts will be recognized through notification to the family of the remembered individual, and by being listed among Memorial Gifts in the MRHC Remembrance book located in the lobby.

Gifts of any amount may be given to honor a special person or in honor of a special event or achievement, such as a birth, graduation or special award. The honored individual, or whomever you indicate, will be notified by the Foundation and the gift will be additionally recognized by being listed among the Honorarium Gifts in the MRHC Remembrance book located in the lobby.

A Copper Leaf  On the Tree of Life will additionally recognize all gifts of $500 up to $1000 inscribed as the donor desires.

A Brass Leaf  On the Tree of Life will additionally recognize all gifts of $1000 or more inscribed as the donor desires.

A Foundation Stone will additionally recognize gifts of $10,000 or more with a personal
inscription on a stone located at the base of the Tree of Life.
