Oklahoma ranks third in the nation for heart disease death rates. McAlester Regional and the Physicians of Oklahoma Heart Hospital are working together to change that ranking by increasing the availability of advanced diagnostic and treatment services in Southeast Oklahoma. Specialized services available include cardiac, nuclear and ultrasound imaging, 64 slice CT scanning, and cardiac catheterization.
