Providing Effective Diabetes Management Tools for Improved Quality of Life
MRHC hosts a Diabetes Center of Excellence, the only outpatient diabetes program in Southeastern Oklahoma that is recognized by the American Diabetes Association as meeting their highest standards of quality training. Experienced Certified Diabetes Educators provide outpatient classes as well as individual appointments for all age groups.
Through physician referral, Diabetes Educators assist those with Type 1, Type 2, pre-diabetes and gestational diabetes. They also assist with insulin and diabetes medication adjustments.
The Diabetes Center at MRHC provides up-to-date information and resources for the surrounding community through public speaking, support groups and educational activities for area schools. MRHC diabetes team members combine their expertise to provide the highest quality of diabetes education, training and evaluation.
