Laboratory
The McAlester Regional Health Center Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology provides laboratory services which are available around the clock. We provide medical and scientific expertise in our specialized departments which are equipped with the latest diagnostic instrumentation and staffed by professionals committed to quality diagnostic testing.
Experience and Expertise
All of MRHC’s testing personnel are Medical Technologists, having bachelor’s degrees or Master’s Degrees. MRHC is very proud of the level of education and expertise that our Technologists offer, with many of our staff exceeding 30 years of Laboratory Medicine experience. Few laboratories can offer this level of qualified experience to better serve our patients and community. The medical director of the laboratory is a Board Certified Pathologist M.D. who is available for review and consultation of testing.
Outpatient Testing
MRHC’s laboratory offers an extensive menu of diagnostic tests’ to McAlester and the surrounding communities. Approximately 50% of our testing is performed through our outpatient laboratory services. MRHC lab is able to provide faster turnaround times for physician offices, health clinics, and local employers at a very competitive price. These outpatient tests assist the physicians’ in faster, more accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
