Admissions Coordinator

The Admission Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who assures effective and efficient acceptance of patients by assisting with the screening of proposed transfers and admission to MRHC. Ensures timely patient assignment to appropriate nursing units. Completes review of admission criteria to determine correct level of care. The Admission Nurse facilitates smooth transition of patient from arrival to the hospital through the admission process. Provides information and answers questions regarding the admission process to patients and families. Obtains clarification of admission, preoperative and preadmission orders from the physician. Admitting Clerk

Is responsible for obtaining accurate demographic and insurance data from patients seen in a timely and appropriate mannger in conjunction with EMTALA guidelines. Collects patient co-pay amounts as required and within EMTALA guidelines. Accurately registers patient data into computer system and is responsible for admission area.

Cardiovascular Technologist (2)

To perform all required procedures in the Cardiovascular laboratory and radiology department, operating specialized equipment including but not limited to the x-ray equipment with the cardiac catheterization laboratory, the processor, computer systems, and having working knowledge of radiology procedures if rotation to radiology is necessary. Trains staff technologists and students.

Chief Information Officer

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable for directing the information and data integrity of MRHC and its group. This includes all electronic health information systems, help desk, communication networks (voice and data), computer program development, and computer systems operations. They are responsible for maintaining the integrity of all electronic and optical books and health records of MRHC. The CIO reviews all computerized and manual systems; information processing equipment and software for acquisition, storage and retrieval; and definition of the strategic direction of all information processing and communication systems and operations. They provide overall management and definition of all computer and communication activities within the MRHC including responsibility for providing a leadership role in the day to day operations of the Information Technology functions as well as providing direction as the MRHC grows through internal growth and external acquisition. The CIO interacts with the executive management team to monitor and validate the MRHC's compliance with its security policies, which includes but is not limited to HIPAA and Sarbanes Oxley Section 404. Acts as Chief Information Systems Security officer of the facility.

Clinical Educator, RN

Plans, develops, and implements curriculum to meet the educational requirements of employees. Contributes to identification of training needs and evaluates success in meeting learning needs. Serves on and provides leadership for various committees.

Controller

Under the general direction of the vice president, the accounting director is primarily responsible for financial statement and report preparation for all hospital entities and also ensuring that adequate internal controls are in place to support accurate financial reporting and assets are safeguarded. The accounting director is also responsible for management and control of the general accounting, payroll, and accounts payable functions and overseeing the financial statement audit process and coordinates the annual cost report preparation with outside specialists.

Director of Hospitality

The Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and developing of the overall operation of the housekeeping department in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and guidelines along with assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training and developing staff. Responsible for establishing a customer service focused environment among staff members.

Director, Cardiopulmonary Services

Director of Cardiopulmonary Services is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Respiratory Therapy, EKG, Sleep Lab, and Cardic Rehab departments. Accountable for the implementation of department services in accordance with regulating agencies, documentation, budgeting, billing, record keeping, maintaining safe effective inventory of required equipment and supplies, scheduling, staffing, in-service education, and evaluation of work performance of employees.

Director, Case Management

Manages CM screens for all patients for discharge planning needs. Oversees development of the plan of care with the case managers for all patients and monitors progress. Most of the time will be spent coordinating the high-risk discharges and special needs of complex patients working with the multidisciplinary team (primary nurses, physicians, post acute care manager). Will guide the care management of high-risk patients for the specific physician(s) he or she is assigned. Will manage the variances from the established plan of care. Cross-trained to perform utilization review as needed and when assigned to do the job. Must be detail-oriented and organized, with demonstrated computer and critical thinking skills. Must have effective communication skills as demonstrated with both internal and external customers.

Director, Emergency Services

Directs, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of patient care. Provides administrative direction in the development and evaluation of nursing personnel. Responsibilities include compliance with regulatory agency standards, MRHC standards of care and conduct, and standards of practice. Assumes 24-hour responsibility for unit management.

Director, Plant Operations and Maintenance

Directs and coordinates maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, and safety programs. Develops and administers budgets,coordinates remodeling projects and work contractors. Develops equipment specifications and interacts with vendors. Organizes and implements programs such as energy conservation, space allocation, cost containment and preventative maintenance.

Dishwasher Tech

Disassembles trays from cafeteria and patients, scrapes, washes and sterilizes dishes and various other food service utensils and equipment.

ECHO Tech- Sonographer II (2)

Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performing all ultrasound techniques and examinations for cardiac and vascular.

LPN, Cardiology Clinic

Coordinates care for patients. Works cooperatively with other office personnel. Maintains standards for professional nursing practice in the office setting.

Medical Assistant, SE Cardiology Clinic

Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.

Medical Staff Coordinator

Serves as Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator for McAlester Regional Health Center as well as the Ambulatory Surgery Center and McAlester Medical Services, LLC. Initiates and follows through on the appointment / change in status process for the medical staff and allied health professionals making sure that applications and supporting documents are up to date and current. Coordinates the Credentialing Committee of the medical staff on a monthly basis, preparing and filing timely and appropriate minutes. Assists medical staff members with Managed Care applications and insurance renewal applications. Maintains files in a confidential manner.

Medical Technologist (ASCP)

Responsible for the analysis of laboratory specimens and subsequent result reporting according to laboratory protocol and procedures.

Nurse Extern- Float

Provides direct and indirect patient care through the application of the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating care rendered under the direct supervision of the assigned preceptor. Care provided will address physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, and discharge needs of the patient and his/her family. Nurse Practitioner, Care Transitions

The Nurse Practitioner coordinates the discharge and care transition of patients form the inpatient setting to the home or post-acute provider. The NP is responsible for ensuring a safe and effective transfer, acting as an education and support resource for the patient and family. The NP serves as a liaison between hospital staff and the patient and family. The position is responsible for providing and assisting with discharge education, creating an after-hospital care plan, reconciling patient medications, scheduling follow-up primary care appointments, and other duties as assigned. The NP will focus on establishing patient relationships, delivering discharge education, and completing follow-up phone calls with patients.

Painter, Part Time

With minimal supervision, performs duties such as painting, staining, varnishing, signage, window and hardware replacement etc. Performs routine tasks such as replacing light bulbs, cleaning or replacing air filters, cleaning the shop, performing minor repairs and PMs, installing minor equipment, and performing grounds maintenance as needed.

Under the direction of the Radiology Director, performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Performing all ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, obstetric and gynecology scans, radiation therapy localization for treatment planning, other anatomical areas as required, and minor surgical procedures (ex. Cyst aspirations and biopsies).

Speech Language Pathologist, Inpatient

The Speech Language Pathologist administers, organizes and plans the activities of the department to ensure effective speech pathology evaluation and treatment for inpatients, outpatients and acute rehab patients of all age groups and cultural backgrounds; exhibiting a speech, language, hearing or swallowing disorder; provides diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient/family counseling, maintains systematic records in accordance with professional, JCAHO, and CARF guidelines; maintains quality care for all patients through interaction with hospital personnel in a coordinated, comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach; provides assistance where communication barriers exist due to speech/language disabilities to enable each individual to reach his/her maximum level of independence; provides evaluation and set up of treatment programs for all patients referred to Speech Language Pathology; provides speech language therapy treatment to referred patients; writes and reviews patient progress reports, including charting and reports to referring physicians; consults with other rehab team members regarding communication pathways to achieve maximum value of patient teaching in rehab techniques; provides correct information on Medicare, AHCCS, MediCal and all other forms; provides correct statistic and billing information for Speech Language Therapy patients; assess and manages swallowing disorders in coordination with other departments; assists with preparation of and monitors departmental budget; attends hospital and community meetings as appropriate and serves on various committees; performs pure-tone hearing screening; develops, implements, maintains, and reviews policies and procedures for department services, including administrative, clinical and CQI and prepares any necessary reports; orients and trains new and continuing staff regarding scope and needs of the Speech Language Therapy Department and participates in continuing education programs to enhance skills and knowledge; trains, supervises and evaluates graduate speech pathology students; supports and actively participates in hospital quality-assurance and in-service programs; and, performs other duties as assigned.

Transport Tech (2)

Ensure prompt and safe transport of patients to and/or from OR, Ambulatory Surgery, ER, Renal Dialysis, Endo, Admitting, and all nursing units; and maintain cleanliness of transportation devices to include wheelchairs, gurneys and monitor their oxygen supply.

Water Aerobics Instructor

Leads water based activity classes for a diverse age group utilizing a variety of tools to enhance customer satisfaction and member retention.
