Neurologist Joins Staff at MRHC

Neurologist Charles William Lutton, MD, most recently of Muskogee, is the latest specialist to join the cadre of physicians at McAlester Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Lutton, a graduate of the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, has also served hospital staffs at Muskogee, Tahlequah and Salt Lake City, Utah, where he served his residency in neurology and an internship in internal medicine.

He completed a fellowship in neuromuscular diseases at the University of Utah Affiliate Hospitals in Salt Lake City.

Dr. Lutton will begin his practice at MRHC on Jan. 18.

“We are eager to welcome Dr. Lutton aboard at McAlester Regional,” said David Keith, hospital CEO. “Having his expertise in McAlester means we can offer complex neurology services to help our patients throughout Southeast Oklahoma.”

Dr. Lutton brings the ninth medical specialty to MRHC’s Southeast Clinic. The Clinic also includes physicians who specialize in Cardiology, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Orthopedics, Pulmonology and Urology.

Licensed as a physician and surgeon, Dr. Lutton has also earned a doctorate in philosophy and microbiology at the University of Texas. He has practiced in Oklahoma for 21 years, and is a member of the American Academy of neurology, the American Stroke Association, National Stroke Association and Neurohospitalist Society.
