Visiting Hours & Parking

General visiting hours are from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. with special visiting hours for the ICU and Rehab. 

All visitors are welcome, but please respect the patients’ need for rest. Let the patient be your guide as to how long your visit lasts.

Parking

Visitor parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. During regular visiting hours, please use the parking lot south and southeast of the Main Entrance. When parking after regular hours, please use the parking lot northeast of Emergency Entrance.

All parking is free; however, visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved or designated areas. 

Please lock your vehicle. If you need assistance with your vehicle, please call Security at 918.426.1800.

Hospital Policies & Features

Cell Phones

Upon entering the facility, please turn off your cell phone. Cell phones can interfere with signals from electrical equipment in use.

Noise

Please keep noise to a minimum. Speak softly in patient areas.

Smoking & Tobacco

MRHC is a nonsmoking facility. Do not bring tobacco products into the buildings.

Children

Children are welcome at McAlester Regional Health Center, but for their safety and the safety of others, please supervise children at all times.

Contacting a Patient’s Room

Phones are in each patient room, except in the Intensive Care Unit. Patients may receive calls during regular visiting hours, which are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

To reach a patient room from a hospital line, dial 8 and the 3-digit room number. If calling from an outside line, call 918.426.1800.

Outgoing Patient Calls

Long-distance and toll calls can be made at any time by dialing 9-0 and the number. Long-distance calls cannot be charged to your room. You can make a credit card call or charge a long-distance call back to your home number. For assistance at any time, speak to the hospital operator by dialing 0.

Waiting Areas

Each patient floor has a designated lounge area, as does the main floor in the lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the Critical Care Units, Emergency Department, Surgery and OB.

Vending Machines

Vending machines with snacks and beverages are available on the 2nd and 3rd floors in or near waiting areas

Meditation Chapel

A meditation chapel is located on the third floor. Visitors of all faiths are welcome to visit the chapel for prayer and quiet reflection. Contact Pastoral Care/Chaplain at 918.426.1800, ext. 7131.

Vendors/Marketing Representatives

All vendors/marketing representatives must check in with Materials Management upon arrival.
