The Women’s Imaging Center at McAlester Regional Health Center provides a complete breast care experience with reports available in 24 hours and same day Diagnostic results. Our interpreting Radiologists are on-site to review your images and provide consultation if needed.  We are proud to offer the best technology available with our new Hologic 3D Mammography system which gives a true, low dose 3D Mammogram, reducing your exposure time.

Mammogram Screening is recommended annually starting at age 40. Women under 40 with a family history of breast cancer or other concerns should talk with a healthcare provider. Screening tests may be needed more often and/or started earlier. Mammography is the most effective screening tool used today to find breast cancer in most women.

3D Mammography is an FDA approved advanced technology that takes multiple images, or X-Rays, of breast tissue and recreates a 3D-picture of the breast. 3D technology is different from traditional mammography which only obtains just a single image. The multiple images of breast tissue gives our Radiologist a clearer image of breast masses, making it easier to detect breast cancer up to 15 months earlier. Any woman who requires breast screening should consider 3D mammography, especially women with dense breast tissue.
